What is a Google review widget?

Live proof from your Google Business Profile — styled to match a premium site, not a generic plugin block.

Used by agencies, local services, and ecommerce brands. Google does not offer a native website embed — GR Widget fills that gap with one script tag and a visual editor.

Why businesses choose GR Widget

Your Google reputation, working harder

Everything the widget does is aimed at one outcome: turning the trust you already earned on Google into more customers on your site.

Real reviews, always fresh

Names, stars, and full testimonial text sync from your public Google listing — weekly on Free, daily on paid plans. No stale screenshots, no manual updates, and optional “Write a review” links grow your profile too.

Proof where decisions happen

Most shoppers read reviews before they buy. Place a rating badge beside your call-to-action and longer review feeds on landing pages — trust at the exact moment visitors decide.

Fast, lightweight & private

Async loading and cached JSON keep your PageSpeed score intact, and the embed never fingerprints or tracks your visitors — a GDPR-friendly drop-in for any stack.

Review structured data (JSON-LD)

Paid plans include JSON-LD so search engines can read your rating and reviews. Google alone decides whether stars appear in results — eligibility varies and is never guaranteed. Available on paid plans. Pair with our embed guide for WordPress, Wix, or Shopify.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Google API key to display reviews?

No. You search for your business in our dashboard; we connect using your Google Place ID and handle API access on our servers. Your team never manages Google Cloud billing or key rotation.

Do I need to connect my Google Business Profile?

No. Search for your business by name — we match it by Google Place ID and sync reviews on our servers. You never sign in with Google or connect a Business Profile to get started. Many other review widgets cap at about five testimonials when they rely on the Google Places API alone; that endpoint returns at most five reviews per place, with no pagination. Providers that show more without a dedicated sync service typically require OAuth sign-in and a verified Google Business Profile. On paid plans, GR Widget automatically syncs many more (30 on Site, unlimited on Business, unlimited on Agency) with no Business Profile connection. The Free plan includes up to 5 synced reviews. Connecting Google Business Profile remains optional.

How do new Google reviews appear on my website?

Widgets sync automatically on a schedule — weekly on the Free plan and daily on paid plans. When a new review is published on Google, it will appear in your widget after the next sync without editing your embed code.

Will Google show star ratings in search results?

Paid plans include JSON-LD so search engines can read your rating and reviews. Google alone decides whether stars appear in results — eligibility varies and is never guaranteed. Self-serving markup on your own site often does not qualify for review rich results — our Product JSON-LD follows a common industry pattern, but Google may still choose not to display stars.

Can I show only 4 and 5 star reviews?

Yes — on Site plan and above you can set minimum star filters, hide specific reviews, and tune how many testimonials display.

Is GR Widget affiliated with Google?

No. GR Widget is an independent tool that displays publicly available review data with proper attribution. Review content remains the property of its authors.
